Premier League Tips for week 4

Manchester United achieved lift-off under Erik Ten Hag on Monday night after a 2-1 win over Liverpool and the Red Devils now head to St Mary’s looking to build on that success. Meanwhile, Liverpool and Manchester City will be popular accumulator picks for their matches and the same applies to Chelsea and Arsenal.

Premier League Betting Tips – SATURDAY 27TH AUGUST

Southampton 12:30 Man United

A week ago, getting evens about the home team or the draw in this match would have felt like daylight robbery. Let’s not overplay a spirited performance against an injury-hit Liverpool side considering that Manchester United lost their two opening matches. There are signs that Erik ten Hag is finding his feet with this squad, although the Saints have four points from their past two encounters.

BEST BET: Southampton or Draw

Brentford 15:00 Everton

We see little reason to desert a Brentford side who enjoyed a 4-0 win over Manchester United in their first home game of the season. The Bees have scored eight goals in their three matches to date compared with Everton’s return of just two. The Toffees were abject on the road last season and began the current campaign with a 2-1 defeat against an unconvincing Aston Villa.

BEST BET: Brentford to win

If you join bet365 and place this bet with them, you get paid as a winner if Brentford take a two goal at any point in the match. Regardless of the full time result. So they can go 2 nil up and lose 3-2, but with bet365 you still get paid as a winner.

    Brighton 15:00 Leeds

Given the fact that Brighton struggled for wins and goals at the AMEX Stadium last season, we’re swerving the in-form Seagulls. Graham Potter’s side could only manage a goalless draw against Newcastle and might be thwarted by a Leeds United team who have started the season strongly. The visitors might adapt their game plan to run a tighter ship and we can therefore see the unders copping.

    BEST BET: Under 2.5 Goals

    Chelsea 15:00 Leicester

Leicester have found the net in all three games and that includes bagging a brace at the Emirates. Therefore, we can have confidence that they will score against a Chelsea side who have conceded five goals in the past two matches, although we’re expecting the Blues to take the points. Even without the suspended Kalidou Koulibaly, the home side should prove too strong based on their home performance against Spurs.

    BEST BET: Chelsea + BTTS

    Liverpool 15:00 AFC Bournemouth

All is not well at Anfield and Liverpool come into this game without a win in the Premier League this season. Scott Parker might consider this a reasonable time to be playing this fixture and his Cherries team acquitted themselves well at the Etihad Stadium despite losing 4-0. For Jurgen Klopp, it’s all about his side producing a solid performance and getting the job done.

    BEST BET: Bournemouth +2.5

    Man City 15:00 Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace have taken four points from games against Liverpool and Aston Villa, with the Eagles travelling to the Etihad in high spirits. We know that Patrick Vieira will deploy similar tactics to the ones shown at Anfield, with Eberechi Eze and Wilfried Zaha looking to feed off scraps. The home side showed defensive vulnerability when shipping three at Newcastle and any victory could be by a slender margin.

    BEST BET: Crystal Palace +2.5

    Arsenal 17:30 Fulham

It’s easy to see Arsenal continuing their 100% record considering that all three victories have been by two goals or more. Gabriel Jesus is producing magic in every clash and the Gunners should outscore a Fulham side who are unbeaten so far. With five goals on the board, Marco Silva’s team can find the net at least once but their defence could struggle to cope with the onslaught.

BEST BET: Arsenal win + BTTS

Look out for some exciting odds boosts on this game. A few bookies have teased us with enhanced odds and even super odds boosts for this match.

    SUNDAY 28TH AUGUST

    Aston Villa 14:00 West Ham

Both teams have made a slow start to their 2022-23 season and West Ham don’t have any points or goals to show for their three matches played. David Moyes will want to earn at least one point from the Hammers’ trip to the Midlands, with Aston Villa hard to fancy considering they only just mustered a win at home to Everton a fortnight ago. Expect a relatively cagey match which both teams are afraid to lose.

    BEST BET: Under 2.5 Goals

    Wolves 14:00 Newcastle

Newcastle United have enjoyed an unbeaten start to their season and we think this is likely to continue at Molineux. The Magpies were vibrant against Manchester City when scoring three times and Allan Saint-Maximin could prove the match winner against a Wolves side who continue to be short on goals. The Wanderers defence is obstinate but we’d lean towards the visitors if pushed.

BEST BET: Newcastle Draw No Bet

    Nottingham Forest 16:30 Tottenham

Tottenham are plenty short enough at the prices to win at the City Ground. They were second best at Stamford Bridge and made heavy work of beating Wolves last weekend. Forest have improved game-on-game since their 2-0 defeat at Newcastle, with the City Ground becoming a stadium of noise and Steve Cooper’s side should find a way to score at least once.

    BEST BET: BTTS Yes
