Acca Insurance

Acca insurance is quite possibly the best offer a bookie can give you!

How many times have you placed your acca only to be let down by one selection? It’s highly frustrating when it happens and weirdly happens quite often.. It’s what keeps the hope alive each week if we don’t get a winner.

Anyway, acca insurance will give you your stake back if your acca loses by 1 selection. So, if you lose by 1 result, you are covered with acca insurance.

As I mainly bet accas, this type of offer is essential for my strategy and can seriously help to maintain profit over a season.

A few years ago almost every single bookmaker was offering acca insurance, but today we are look at far less options.

As bookmakers try to be creative they have been coming up with new offers. Acca boosts for example have been hugely popular for William Hill and Ladbrokes this year and I’m personally a big fan of them.

Bookmakers who removed Acca Insurance

I will update this list as bookmakers remove acca insurance from their list of betting offers. I’m really hoping one will really stick their neck out and offer both! That would be the dream.

Acca Insurance – What is it?

Acca insurance is the bookmakers way of saying ‘unlucky, have another go on us!’ They are giving you a consolation prize in the way of a free bet if your acca loses by one team/selection and all other selections win.

Normally bookies will give you a refund up to £10. There are other T&C’s that come along with the offer but if you are placing a standard acca with 5 or more selections, you will qualify.

How to place an Acca Insurance Bet

Step 1 – Create your acca as normal with your chosen acca insurance bookmaker and add 5 or more selections

Step 2 – Check what leagues and markets qualify for acca insurance

Step 3 – Make sure of the minimum odds requirements for individual selections or the total acca odds. Basically avoid really hot favourites

Step 4 – Don’t bet more than £10. I’ve not seen any bookies offering a refund of more than £10

Step 5 – You get 1 acca insurance bet per day and this will automatically apply to the first qualifying acca you place. Always good to be reminded of this.

How you get refunded

If your acca loses by one and triggers an acca insurance payout then you will get your stake back (up to £10) as a free bet.

Always be aware that free bets come with their own set of T&C’s so please check these out. Just visit your bookies promo page and scan over them.

Normally though there will be time limits on the free bet so use it sooner than later. The shortest I’ve seen is 3 days and means you can’t wait until the following weekend. If you did, you would forfeit the free bet.

Acca Insurance Examples

Lose by one!
Literally the most annoying way to lose an acca BUT, it’s all good as acca insurance saves the tears and we get our stake back as a free bet.

Give it a few hours after the bet has been settled and we have cash for another go!

Lose by two or more
Form went out the window and we had an absolute stinker! Only 2 selections from our 5 fold won and the rest lost.

Unfortunately this means the cash is gone and next time we are entering our 3 digits on the back of cards to get our acca on!

All selections win!
Who needs acca insurance anyway? The acca won and probably brought home a tidy profit. Bragging rights for the next 7 days with all of your mates and the drinks are on us.

You don’t get your stake back.

You don’t need it anyway when your landing accas 🙂

That is everything you need to know about acca insurance and I hope it makes life easier for any of you looking for bookmakers that offer this.

I will be keeping this page up to date as bookmakers add or remove acca insurance from their list of promotions.

Consider betting my acca tips with one of the acca insurance bookies as I have missed by one a good few times this season.

About Jon

I've made What Acca to try and help people starting out with accumulator betting. The possibilities of these types of bets are pretty much endless, with the major attraction coming from the fact that a lot of money can be won for very little outlay. What Acca will hopefully teach you how to make more profitable accumulator bets whilst also eradicating some of the mistakes that I have made over the years.
