World Cup Qualifying Match Day 7 Predictions

Welcome to the World Cup Qualifiers Europe Betting Tips from WhatAcca.com – Day 7

The 2022 World Cup qualifying picture is taking shape, with the leading teams in action on Friday and Saturday. We look ahead to some of the key games and make predictions for the encounters, with Czech Republic and Wales having a crunch match in Prague, while Turkey clash with Norway and that should be another intriguing battle.

Germany 19:45 Romania

Aside from a surprise 2-1 reverse at home to North Macedonia, Germany haven’t conceded a goal in any of their World Cup qualifying matches. Hansi Flick will be keen for this trend to continue when his side clash with Romania at the Volksparkstadion in Hamburg, with the visitors certainly in with a chance of securing second spot in the group. They did achieve a goalless draw in Skopje last month although they should be outclassed here.

BEST BET – Germany + BTTS No

Czech Republic 19:45 Wales

This really is a significant fixture in Group E. Czech Republic currently sit second but they’ve played a game more than Wales. The visitors would therefore take a point in Prague. They managed to beat the Czechs 1-0 in Cardiff, so they know how to handle these opponents. Expect a tight game between two evenly-matched sides. Under 2.5 Goals is the best play considering that first goal is all-important. If you would like to learn more about football betting sites and how they work, check out our dedicated resources.

BEST BET – Under 2.5 Goals

Turkey 19:45 Norway

Turkey were big flops at Euro 2020 and we think they might struggle to get the right result here. They face a Norway side who are two points better off, with the visitors looking to finish in top spot. They’ll be aware that the Turks were battered by Netherlands in their last qualifying game. With Erling Haaland leading the line, we’ll take the visitors to follow up a recent 5-1 win over Gibraltar with another three points.

BEST BET – Norway to win

Azerbaijan 17:00 Republic of Ireland

The Republic of Ireland are having a tricky time of things lately. Stephen Kenny’s side have just two points from five games played. They have recently steadied the ship and a 1-1 draw with Serbia was well-deserved. We think they can keep things tight against an Azerbaijan with limited quality. However, the Under 2.5 Goals bet looks to be the most straightforward between the two lowest-ranked sides in the group.

BEST BET – Under 2.5 Goals

Switzerland 19:45 Northern Ireland

Switzerland have won two and drawn two of their World Cup qualifying matches thus far. Having only conceded one goal, it seems unlikely that Northern Ireland will find the net here. The visitors have averaged just one goal per game in qualifying. The reverse fixture ended goalless and it could be backs to the wall for the Northern Irish.

BEST BET – Switzerland + BTTS No

Scotland 17:00 Israel

Scotland are currently finding a way to win games and they have to be the bet here. Steve Clarke’s side have secured 1-0 triumphs over Moldova and Austria in recent weeks. The defence is well-organised, while McTominay and McGinn provide midfield steel. The Israelis enjoyed a surprise 5-2 win over Austria but they couldn’t lay a glove on Denmark in the next match.

BEST BET – Scotland to win

These European World Cup qualifiers take place on Friday and Saturday, with teams now looking to challenge hard for World Cup spots. The leading teams from each group go through automatically. The second placed teams are in the play-offs. Read our latest tips and predictions at WhatAcca.com and then follow the expert view for the games which interest you the most.
