EFL Cup BTTS Acca Tip 8th Aug 2023

EFL Cup Acca Tips

We’ve got a large number of EFL Cup matches taking place on Tuesday night and we have picked out three matches where we’re expecting both teams to score. It’s worth noting that referees are adding on a lot more injury-time in both halves this season and that obviously provides an increased chance of landing winners.

Here are the games that we’ve put together for our BTTS Acca:

BTTS Accumulator Betting Tips – Tuesday 8 August

Notts County v Lincoln City, KO:19:45
Sutton United v Cambridge United, KO:19:45
Wrexham v Wigan Athletic, KO:20:00

Odds: 4/1
Bet £10 to return £50

Acca Reasoning

Notts County v Lincoln City

Notts County were often good for a BTTS Yes bet in the National League last season and they began the campaign with a surprise 5-1 reverse away at Sutton. However, we can expect a reaction to that setback when they take to the field for their first clash at Meadow Lane this season.

Macauley Langstaff and David McGoldrick are sure to score goals together this season and the latter was able to find the net as part of a weekend consolation effort. Luke Williams favours an attacking style of football but we’re not sure they can stop their League One opponents from scoring.

The Red Imps began the season with a 3-0 defeat away to Bolton although that was a tricky fixture and they should have plenty of chances against lower quality opponents.

Sutton United v Cambridge United

Sutton United were the outsiders to beat Notts County on Saturday, although the London outfit were able to claim a 5-1 victory to start their League Two campaign in style. Omari Patrick looks to be a chief slayer for them this season and he could get on the scoresheet against Cambridge.

As for Cambridge, they began the season by scoring twice as part of a bloodless victory over Oxford and they can continue on the goal trail here. Despite only having 30% possession against the U’s, the team managed to have six shots on target and managed to profit thanks to goals from Jack Lankester and Gassan Ahadme.

Wrexham v Wigan Athletic

The third and final pick involved Wrexham and Wigan Athletic, with the Red Dragons starting life back in the Football League with a crazy 5-3 home defeat. Phil Parkinson saw his team concede two early goals against MK Dons and go on to ship five times against their opponents.

Meanwhile, Wigan reduced the eight-point deduction to five after managing to pull off a surprise win at Derby County, with Shaun Maloney’s side likely to find the net in north Wales after scoring twice at Pride Park.

A £10 accumulator on the above three matches to be BTTS Yes returns around £50 and that provides a handsome potential return. We’re going to be in this bet all the way through the games and hopefully we’ll get some early goals, with the wager requiring all of the six named teams to find the net at least once.
